New Zealand Women Vs England Women – 2nd T20I Match Highlight – 23 MAY 2026
The second T20I between New Zealand Women and England Women on May 23 honestly had that strange feeling where the match never fully settled for either side. Every few overs something happened to change the mood again. One team looked comfortable, then suddenly a wicket or boundary shifted pressure straight back the other way.
New Zealand started positively and looked more confident than they did earlier in the series. Their batters weren’t swinging wildly from the start either. They played smarter cricket for a while, picked gaps nicely, and slowly built momentum without rushing too much. A few clean boundaries through cover got the crowd properly involved.
But England responded exactly when they needed to. One breakthrough suddenly slowed everything down and New Zealand’s innings became a little messy after that. Dot balls started building pressure and risky shots followed soon after.
England’s chase honestly wasn’t smooth either. At one stage it looked under control, then two quick wickets changed the whole atmosphere again. New Zealand’s bowlers kept fighting hard and every close appeal near the end had players screaming with energy. Fielders celebrated stops like they were wickets and both dugouts looked nervous during the death overs.
Final overs turned properly tense. Nervous singles, tired mistakes, crowd reacting to every ball little bit of everything happened before the result was finally decided.
Not perfect cricket technically. Still entertaining enough to keep everyone hooked till the finish.
