India Women Vs England Women – 3rd T20I Match Highlight – 02 Jun 2026
Tuesday night at Taunton turned into a proper English summer classic and England made the most of every moment of it.
India set a competitive 180/5 after losing Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana cheaply inside four overs. Yastika Bhatia kept the innings alive with a punchy 32 off 18, and Jemimah Rodrigues added a brisk 29. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur steadied the ship with a composed unbeaten fifty, while Deepti Sharma’s late hitting pushed India past a defendable total. Still, 181 on a Taunton surface that favors batters was never going to feel safe.
England lost three wickets inside six overs and were wobbling at 38 for 3. That’s when Alice Capsey and Heather Knight took complete control. The pair built a breathtaking 137-run fourth-wicket stand off just 76 balls. Capsey was electric reaching fifty off 27 balls before finishing with 82 off 43. Knight, who’d gone weeks without a meaningful score, found her rhythm at exactly the right moment, closing the game unbeaten on 70 off 42.
England crossed the line with 9 balls remaining, winning by 6 wickets and sealing the series 2-1. Capsey took Player of the Match and Player of the Series honors.
