Alaves 1-1 Villarreal - La Liga Match Highlight 13 March 2026

Not the kind of match that explodes… more like one that slowly pulls you in. Deportivo Alavés vs Villarreal CF ended 1-1, and honestly, it felt fair by the end of it.

Alavés started with real energy. Pressing high, trying to force mistakes, and it worked early on. They grabbed the opener with a sharp finish, and you could feel the confidence straight away. Crowd was fully into it.

But Villarreal… they’re not the type to panic. They just kept the ball, moved it around, waited for gaps. Slowly, they grew into the game. And then, one moment a clean move, a calm finish back to 1-1.

Second half was tight. Not many clear chances, more of a midfield battle. A bit scrappy at times too, if I’m honest. Both teams had little moments where you thought, “this could be it,” but the final pass or shot just didn’t click.

Last few minutes had some urgency, especially from Villarreal, but Alavés held their shape well.

In the end… no winner, but definitely a proper contest.
