Hobart Hurricanes Vs Melbourne Stars – BBL Match 5 Highlight – DEC 18 2025
It was one of those evenings where things never really stayed calm for too long. The clash between Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars in BBL Match 5 had that slightly messy, edge-of-the-seat feel right from the start.
Hurricanes went in first after winning the toss, and for a while it looked like they’d run away with it. The top order came out swinging, timing the ball sweetly… but then, almost out of nowhere, wickets started to tumble. You could feel the momentum slipping. Still, a late push in the final overs gave them something decent to defend nothing massive, but not easy either.
Chasing under lights, Stars looked comfortable early on. A couple of clean hits, some smart running, and suddenly the target didn’t seem that far. But T20 does its thing. One wicket brought another, pressure built quietly, and the required rate crept up.
In the end, Hurricanes just held on. Not pretty, not perfect but effective. One of those wins that feels earned more than dominated.
