New Zealand Women Vs England Women – 3rd ODI Match Highlight – 16 MAY 2026
The third ODI between New Zealand Women and England Women on May 16 honestly had that strange feeling where the match never looked completely settled for either side. Even during the quieter overs, you could still feel tension building slowly because one good partnership always looked capable of changing everything.
New Zealand started carefully with the bat. Not slow exactly, but definitely more controlled than aggressive. Their top order tried rotating strike instead of forcing big shots too early, and for a while it worked nicely. England’s bowlers stayed patient though. They kept hitting awkward lengths, made scoring frustrating, and eventually pressure created mistakes. A couple of wickets in quick succession changed the whole mood of the innings.
England’s chase looked smoother at first glance, but honestly it wasn’t fully comfortable either. New Zealand kept fighting with tight fielding and a few really disciplined overs during the middle phase. There were moments where England suddenly looked nervous after losing wickets at the wrong time. Crowd noise picked up, appeals got louder, and every boundary started feeling important.
The final stretch became properly tense before England finally managed to edge ahead with calmer batting under pressure. Still, New Zealand never allowed the game to feel easy till the very end.
