Australia Vs Zimbabwe – 3rd ODI Match Highlights – 20 Sep 2026
What a finish in Harare! Australia somehow pulled off a one-wicket win against Zimbabwe in the third ODI on September 20, chasing down 272 with just one ball left. It was easily the closest game of the series.
Zimbabwe batted first and made 271 for 8 from their 50 overs. Sikandar Raza played a really important innings, staying unbeaten on 81 from 72 balls. Craig Ervine also helped with 59, while Innocent Kaia made 55 before retiring hurt.
Australia’s chase got shaky early, but Josh Inglis kept them alive. The wicketkeeper-batter produced a superb 103 from 102 balls and took the pressure off his teammates for a long stretch. Still, Australia lost wickets regularly and the game went right down to the wire.
When Inglis was dismissed, Australia still had work to do. Nathan Ellis then stepped up with an unbeaten 36, and the lower order somehow got the team over the line at 272 for 9 after 49.5 overs.
Nathan Ellis took three wickets for Australia, while Brad Evans claimed four for Zimbabwe.
Australia completed a 3-0 series sweep, but Zimbabwe certainly made them work for the final win.
