Nepal Vs Afghanistan – Asian Games Men’s Match 4 Highlights – 25 Sep 2026
Nepal came away with a five-wicket win over Afghanistan in Match 4 of the Asian Games men’s cricket competition on September 25. Afghanistan batted first after winning the toss, but things became difficult for them almost straight away. Nepal’s bowlers kept picking up wickets and never let the innings settle.
Afghanistan were 16 for 3 early on. Faisal Shinozada and Najibullah Zadran then tried to repair the damage, with both batters making 30 runs. Nangeyalia Kharote added 17 not out, taking Afghanistan to 102 for 7 after 20 overs.
Kushal Bhurtel was the main threat with the ball. He finished with four wickets for 21 runs, while Lalit Rajbanshi picked up three for 13.
Nepal also lost wickets early in the chase. Sundeep Jora helped calm things down with a handy 34 from 35 balls. Rohit Paudel then stayed at the crease and made an unbeaten 33. Dipendra Singh Airee added 15 before falling with Nepal only one run away.
Gulsan Jha scored that final run, and Nepal reached 103 for 5 in 17.2 overs. It was a solid comeback after the early wickets and gave Nepal an important win in their Asian Games campaign.
