Oh man, what an absolute classic between Mumbai Indians and KKR last night at the Wankhede! Match 65 of IPL 2026 was pure drama right till the very last ball, but KKR somehow pulled off a crazy win.
Mumbai won the toss and decided to bowl first, which looked like a great plan early on. Jasprit Bumrah was bowling absolute fire and took two quick wickets in his very first over. But then, Rinku Singh and Venkatesh Iyer completely rescued KKR. Rinku went absolutely berserk, smashing 82 off just 44 balls with some massive sixes into the crowd. KKR ended up with a highly competitive 195 on the board.
Chasing 196, Mumbai got a flying start thanks to Ishan Kishan, who made a quick 45. Then Suryakumar Yadav took over and started playing his usual video-game shots all over the ground. He scored a brilliant 74 and it looked like MI would coast home easily. But Sunil Narine turned the game on its head in the death overs. He bowled a tight 19th over, picking up two wickets and leaving MI needing 15 runs off the final over. Mitchell Starc held his nerve, giving away just 9 runs. KKR won a absolute nail-biter by 5 runs!
