man australia completely wrecked zimbabwe yesterday in match 19 of the icc t20 tournament. honestly nobody expected zimbabwe to win against a side like australia but the way they got bundled out was just straight up painful to watch for their fans.
zimbabwe actually won the toss and made a huge mistake by deciding to bat first on a pitch that had a lot of green grass. starc and hazlewood were literally breathing fire with the new ball from the first over itself. zimbabwe lost three wickets for like just 12 runs inside the powerplay. their captain tried to block a few balls and made a slow 25 but nobody else could even cross double digits. australia bowled them out for a shocking 84 runs in just 15 overs.
chasing 85 was just a walk in the park for australia’s batting lineup. travis head came out and started smashing boundaries for fun from ball one itself. he scored a super fast 45 off just 18 balls to finish the game early. australia chased down the tiny target in just 7 overs without losing a single wicket. a total humiliation for zimbabwe and a massive win for the aussies.
