man nobody expected namibia to actually trouble india but match 18 of the icc t20 tournament turned out to be a pretty fun game to watch. india won the match in the end easily but namibia definitely won some hearts with how they fought last night.
india won the toss and decided to bat first on a super flat track. rohit and jaiswal started hitting boundaries from the very first over but namibia’s bowling wasn’t completely terrible. they actually got rohit out early which shocked everyone. but then suryakumar yadav came in and just took over the game completely. he smashed a quick 65 off just 32 balls hitting crazy sixes all over the place. india finished with a massive 195 on the board.
chasing 196 was always going to be a nightmare for namibia against india’s bowling attack. jaspirt bumrah was absolutely unplayable with the new ball taking two wickets in his very first over. namibia’s captain tried to stay at the crease and scored a fighting 42 but the run rate was just way too high. axar patel cleaned up the middle order easily and namibia got restricted to 135 runs. easy win for india by 60 runs!
