Haiti 0-1 Scotland - FIFA World Cup Group C Match Highlight 14 Jun 2026
It was ugly, it was tense, but Scotland won’t care a single bit. For the first time since Italia ’90, the Tartan Army have actually won a World Cup match. Steve Clarke’s side managed to edge past a incredibly stubborn Haiti 1-0 in Boston, and honestly, they had to ride their luck big time to get over the line.
The breakthrough came just before the half-hour mark through sheer persistence. Wonderkid Ben Doak caused trouble down the flank, whipping in a dangerous ball that Haiti just couldn’t clear. After a chaotic scramble in the box, it fell to John McGinn. The skipper didn’t hit it cleanly, but his volley took a massive deflection off Jean-Kevin Duverne and somehow looped into the net.
If Scotland thought the hard work was done, they were dead wrong. Haiti came out like a house on fire in the second half. Duckens Nazon and Frantzdy Pierrot looked terrifying every time they moved forward, completely rattling the Scottish defense. Angus Gunn had to pull off a couple of massive stops late on, and there were plenty of chewed fingernails in the stands. A massive three points, but man, they made hard work of it.
