Man, what an absolute banger of a cricket match! If anyone thought Match 26 of this T20 World Cup was gonna be boring, they were dead wrong. The USA walked out to bat first, and honestly, they meant business from ball one. Monank Patel did a solid job up top with his 52, but let’s be real Sanjay Krishnamurthi completely stole the spotlight. The guy was just hitting them clean out of the park! He smoked an unbeaten 68 off only 33 balls (with 6 massive sixes, mind you!), carrying the USA to a whopping 199/4.
Now, chasing 200 is always a massive mountain to climb. But Namibia didn’t just throw in the towel. Louwrens Steenkamp went absolutely berserk, smashing a quick-fire 58 off 33 balls and giving the US team a massive scare. For a hot minute, it actually looked like Namibia might pull off a crazy heist. But then, the US bowlers turned the screws. Shadley van Schalkwyk bowled his heart out, taking crucial wickets right when it mattered. Namibia’s middle order just fell apart under pressure, and they eventually choked out at 168. A solid 31-run victory for the States, and obviously, Krishnamurthi grabbed the Match of the Match award.
