Hong Kong vs Bangladesh – Asia Cup Match 3 Highlights – 11 Sep 2025
Proper solid start to the Asia Cup for Bangladesh! They cruised past Hong Kong in Abu Dhabi tonight, wrapping up a pretty easy seven-wicket win without really sweating too much.
Hong Kong got sent in to bat first and struggled right off the bat. Taskin Ahmed and Tanzim Sakib bowled tight lines early on, knocking over two quick wickets inside the powerplay. Nizakat Khan tried his best to rebuild things with a gritty 42, and a few late hits from Yasim Murtaza got them up to 143 for 7. Honestly though, on that pitch, it always felt about 20 runs short.
Bangladesh’s chase had a tiny hiccup early when both openers fell cheaply, leaving them at 47 for 2. But then Litton Das came out and completely took over. He looked super fluent out there, smacking 59 off just 39 balls to take all the pressure off.
Together with Tawhid Hridoy, who stayed unbeaten on 35, Litton basically killed off the game. He got out right at the end with just two runs needed, but Bangladesh finished the job in the 18th over to grab those two points.
