Bangladesh Vs Pakistan – Asian Games Men’s 1st Semi-Final Match Highlights – 01 OCT 2026
Pakistan reached the Asian Games cricket final after beating Bangladesh by six wickets in a rain-shortened semi-final on October 1.
The match was cut down to 13 overs a side because of the wet conditions. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first, and Bangladesh were in trouble almost immediately. Tanzid Hasan, Litton Das and Parvez Hossain Emon were all gone cheaply, leaving Bangladesh at 21 for 3.
Saif Hassan tried to steady things for a while, but he also fell with the score on 45. Towhid Hridoy then gave Bangladesh something to work with. He played an attacking innings of 42 from 25 balls, hitting two fours and four sixes. Mahedi Hasan added a quick unbeaten 8 from four balls, helping Bangladesh finish on 111 for 7.
Pakistan did not have everything their own way in the chase. They slipped to 53 for 4 and suddenly the game looked much closer. But Abdul Samad and Hasan Nawaz stayed calm when it mattered.
The pair put together an unbeaten 59-run partnership and took Pakistan to 112 for 4 in just 11.3 overs. Samad finished with 30 not out from 15 balls, while Hasan Nawaz made 27 not out.
With the win, Pakistan moved into the Asian Games final, while Bangladesh will now play for the bronze medal.
