man match 20 between uae and canada was an absolute low scoring thriller last night. nobody expected this game to become such a nerve wracking nail biter but the bowlers from both sides just turned the pitch into an absolute minefield.
uae won the toss and chose to bat first but man everything went totally downhill for them right from the powerplay itself. canada’s opening bowlers were swinging the ball like crazy and picked up three quick wickets for almost nothing. the uae middle order tried to stabilize things with some slow running but they just couldn’t smash any boundaries at all. they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and somehow bundled out for a very poor 118 runs on the board in their 20 overs.
chasing 119 looked like an easy walk in the park for canada but uae fought back like absolute tigers. their spinners completely choked the runs in the middle overs and forced canada to make silly mistakes. it came down to 10 runs needed off the final over with just two wickets in hand. canada’s tailender managed to smash a lucky thick edge for a boundary on the fourth ball and somehow crossed the line. canada won by 2 wickets with just two balls to spare!
