england won the toss and chose to bat first but man everything went totally downhill for them right from the powerplay itself. scotland’s opening bowlers were swinging the ball like crazy and picked up three quick wickets for almost nothing. the english middle order tried to stabilize things with some slow running but they just couldn’t smash any boundaries at all. they kept losing wickets at regular intervals and somehow bundled out for a very poor 119 runs on the board in their 20 overs.

chasing 120 looked like an easy walk in the park for scotland but england fought back like absolute tigers. their spinners completely choked the runs in the middle overs and forced scotland to make silly mistakes. it came down to 9 runs needed off the final over with just two wickets in hand. scotland’s tailender managed to smash a lucky thick edge for a boundary on the fourth ball and somehow crossed the line. scotland won by 2 wickets with just two balls to spare!
