Honestly, Bangladesh made this look way too easy. They blew Afghanistan away by seven wickets in Abu Dhabi, completely dominating from ball one.
Bowling first was definitely the right call. Tanzim Hasan Sakib came out breathing fire, ripping through Afghanistan’s top order before they even knew what hit them. The scoreboard looked awful at 42 for 5, and honestly, the innings never really recovered. Azmatullah Omarzai scored a gritty 35 to get them past 100, but Taskin Ahmed wiped out the tail to lock them up for just 122.
The chase was a total walk in the park. Litton Das went early, but Tanzid Hasan didn’t let that slow things down. He took charge immediately, hitting boundaries for fun and cruising to an unbeaten 52 off 38 balls. Towhid Hridoy played a nice little cameo with 29 runs off his own to wrap things up.
Bangladesh knocked off the target in just 14.4 overs, securing two massive points and boosting their net run rate big time.
