Brisbane Heat Vs Sydney Thunder – BBL Match 9 Highlight – DEC 22 2025
This one felt a bit all over the place… but in that classic Big Bash way where you just can’t look away. Brisbane Heat vs Sydney Thunder messy at times, exciting at others, and somehow it worked.
Brisbane batted first and came out swinging. No slow build-up, just straight into attack mode. A few big shots early had the crowd buzzing. But yeah… it didn’t last smoothly. Wickets started falling, and suddenly that strong start felt a bit wasted.
Still, they managed to recover slightly towards the end. Not a massive total, but definitely something to defend.
Thunder’s chase started cautiously. Maybe too cautiously. Dot balls piled up, and you could sense the pressure creeping in. Then out of nowhere a couple of clean hits, and things started to shift.
But Brisbane kept fighting. Tight overs, a wicket here and there… just enough to keep the game alive. For a while, it honestly felt like it could swing either way.
In the end though, Thunder held their nerve. One calm partnership, no panic, just ticking runs… and that got them over the line.
