Australia Vs Bangladesh – 1st ODI Match Highlight – 09 JUN 2026
Wow, Bangladesh almost did it against Australia in the 1st ODI! But yeah, the Aussies somehow survived and won the match.
Bangladesh batted first and honestly, the start was pretty bad. Lost a couple of early wickets to Mitchell Starc. But then Shanto and Towhid Hridoy put up a solid partnership. Hridoy played really well, making 78 runs. Bangladesh ended up with 255 on the board, which wasn’t a huge total but gave the bowlers something to fight with.
When Australia came to chase, Shoriful Islam shook them up early. He took two big wickets in his first spell! For a good 30 overs, Bangladesh kept things super tight and Australia looked in real trouble. But then Glenn Maxwell came in and completely changed the game. He smashed a quick 65 off just 40 balls, hitting sixes all over the place. Once he got going, the pressure was completely gone. Australia chased down the target with about 3 overs left, winning by 4 wickets. A really good fight from the Tigers, but Australia’s experience saved them in the end.
