CSK went to bat first and their top order failed badly. The opener got out on the second ball itself. But then some random big hitting in the middle overs saved them. They got a few lucky boundaries near the end and somehow reached 178. It was a decent total but not impossible to chase.
Delhi started the chase like they were in a huge hurry. Warner was just smashing the ball everywhere and it looked like a totally one-sided game. But then everything changed when the spinners came on. Delhi batters played some really stupid shots and lost two wickets in one over. The run rate just kept climbing up after that. In the last over, they needed 15 runs. The bowler kept it very tight and didn’t give any room to hit. Delhi fell short by 6 runs and CSK got away with a win.
