Netherlands 2-2 Japan - FIFA World Cup Group F Match Highlight 14 Jun 2026

Pure chaos in Dallas! Nobody saw that second half coming. The Netherlands and Japan just played out a wild 2-2 draw in their Group F opener, and honestly, both teams will probably feel they should’ve won it. The first half was super quiet and ended scoreless, but everything went crazy right after the break.

Virgil van Dijk broke the ice first. In the 51st minute, the Dutch captain climbed highest to power home a trademark header. 1-0. But Japan didn’t back down at all. They pushed right back and got their reward just six minutes later when Keito Nakamura scored with a tricky deflected shot.

Then the Dutch took control again. Crysencio Summerville found some space in the 64th minute and buried a beautiful finish to make it 2-1. It looked like the Netherlands had the three points in the bag. But Japan’s relentless pressure paid off late. In the 88th minute, a loose ball fell right to Daichi Kamada inside the box, and he bundled it home. Drama till the final whistle.
