When Bangladesh came out to bat, they didn’t just survive—they dominated. Opener Tanzid Hasan stole the show with a sensational maiden Test century (101), fearlessly taking on Australia’s world-class pace attack. Skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto joined the party with a classy 84, while Mominul Haque chimed in with a steady 49 to keep the pressure firmly on Pat Cummins’ side.
By stumps on Day 2, Bangladesh reached a towering 351 for 6, establishing a massive 153-run lead with four wickets still in hand. A truly jaw-dropping performance from the visitors in their first Test on Australian soil in 23 years.
