Nepal Vs England – ICC T20 Match 5 Highlight – 08 Feb, 2026
Not every T20 game starts with huge expectations, but sometimes those matches turn out to be the most fun to watch. That’s pretty much how things felt when the Nepal national cricket team faced the England cricket team in this ICC Men’s T20 World Cup encounter.
Nepal batted first and, to be fair, looked comfortable for large parts of the innings. The openers played sensibly early on, picking gaps rather than swinging wildly. A couple of crisp boundaries lifted the mood, and by the middle overs Nepal had built a decent platform.
England’s bowlers eventually slowed things down though. A wicket here, a tight over there… the momentum shifted just enough to stop Nepal from pushing the score even higher.
Still, the total on the board was competitive.
England began their chase with confidence, but Nepal didn’t make life easy. Their bowlers kept asking questions, and when a wicket fell in the powerplay the game suddenly felt more balanced.
For a while the chase moved along nervously. Singles, the odd boundary, and a bit of pressure building.
Then England’s experience showed. A steady partnership calmed things down, and a few clean shots late in the innings finally tipped the balance their way. England crossed the target, though Nepal definitely made them work hard for it.
